Salsa Privacy notice

Salsa & Play is a charitable, not-for-profit community project running Cuban salsa classes with free childcare in Queen's Park, London. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
What we collect
When you book a free trial class through our booking form, we ask for:
- Your name and email address
- The number of adults coming to the class
- The number of children joining the play session, and their ages
That's it — we don't ask for anything else, and we don't collect any information from you just for browsing the site.
Why we collect it
- To confirm your trial class booking and email you the details
- To add your booking to our class calendar so we know who's coming
- To arrange the right ratio of childcare staff to children on the day, which is why we ask for children's ages in advance
The legal basis for this is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before providing you with the class you've booked.
Where it's stored
Your booking details are stored securely in our Google Workspace account (email and calendar), which only the Salsa & Play organisers can access. This website is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security purposes.
What we don't do
- We don't send marketing emails — you'll only hear from us about your booking
- We don't sell or share your information with anyone
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site
How long we keep it
We keep booking details only as long as we need them to run our classes, and we periodically delete old bookings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Just email us at info@salsa-play.co.uk and we'll sort it out promptly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
